Introduction to Slip Trailing Workshop
August 25th. 5-7pm.
Slip Trailing…. sounds hard. Come let us introduce you to a surface deocrating technique you are sure to love. Participants will learn how to prepare and apply slip using various tools to create designs and textures on their pottery.
Students can provide their own pieces to use during the workshop or purchase 3 tiles for use during the workshop (additional $15 paid at arrival). Participants (who know how) can also arrive 15 minutes early and roll their own slabs to use during the workshop (only clay purchased from Preacher can be used in our kilns). If providing your own wares please follow the maximum size of 8” wide and 6” tall.
Our Skillbuilding Workshops exist to provide continued learning for our members and local potters. These opportunities are a chance to be introduced to new techniques in a laid back, approachable and encouraging environment. Not everyone who attends these workshops will accomplish all the techniques taught- this aspect of learning is a beautiful process that we embrace as a studio (and we encourage others to as well).

***Due to limited availability, we cannot offer refunds for this workshop. In the event that you are unable to attend, you may transfer your seat to another person.
