1x Wkshp: Tea Light Holiday House

November 22 | 7-9PM

Come learn how to make your very own ceramic Tea Light Holiday House just in time for the holidays! This workshop will teach differing hand building techniques (no wheel this time). No prior experience necessary. This is a relaxed time to explore hand building and create functional items you can use. As always, you can count on good tunes and good vibes. Each piece will be fired, glazed and ready for pick-up 3 weeks after the event concludes.

 

KIDS THANKSGIVING BREAK 1X WORKSOP

November 26 | 9AM or 11AM

In this 1-day workshop, kids (recommended ages 7+) will receive an introduction to wheel throwing techniques. Preacher Pottery will work with each student to make 1 piece on the wheel. All ceramic pieces will be ready for pick-up 4 weeks after its concludes (we will notify the email address used at registration). This price includes all materials; there are no additional fees.

 

Nativity Workshop: Handbuilding

December 6. 7-9PM.

December 8. 6-8PM.

Come learn how to make your very own Christmas Nativity Set. This workshop will teach differing hand building techniques (no wheel this time). No prior experience necessary. $89

 

Santa Cookies & Milk Tray: Adult + Kid Duo Class

Dec 7. 9:00 - 10:30 AM

Work together with your child (or grandchild, niece, nephew, neighbor) to hand build a one-of-a-kind cookie and milk tray for the holidays. Your tray will need days to dry, so our studio will glaze and fire your piece for you, and it will be ready to pick up as soon as possible.

 

Beginner I Wheel Throwing

Come and learn the basics of wheel throwing in a relaxed small group setting. These lessons will focus on wheel control, hand positioning, centering clay, glaze application and the use of basic tools. By the end of this 4- week course, students will have created 4 functional pieces to take home. All materials will be provided. Shoes and clothes will get messy.

 

Beginner II Wheel Throwing

For students who have completed the Beginner Wheel Throwing Course.

This course will allow the student to expound upon their basic throwing skills and will focus on centering larger amounts of clay, handling mugs, trimming, and glazing techniques. All materials will be provided. Shoes and clothes will get messy.

 

Intermediate I Wheel

This course will encourage the student to expound upon their growing skills by focusing on learning to pull handles, throw lidded jars and be challenged to push themselves with how the overall height of a piece. Some students may have to work outside of class time to finish their work. All materials will be provided.

 

Handbuilding I

Come and learn the oldest method of building with clay. These lessons will focus on basic hand-building techniques such as pinch, coil, slab building, glaze application and using basic tools. By the end of this course, students will have created functional pieces to take home. All materials will be provided. Shoes and clothes will get messy.

December Date Night: Wheel Throwing

December 1. 6- 8PM

Bring your special someone and have fun learning the basic techniques of wheel throwing. This is a relaxed time to explore pottery and enjoy a new experience together. As always, we guarantee good vibes and good tunes.
