Raku Member Firing: March 30th

Preacher Pottery is excited to offer our first Member Raku Firing! One of our own, Terry Parker, has offered to bring his raku kiln out and host a firing with us! Please read the details below to make sure you can have a successful firing!
3 pieces max per person
No piece larger than 14” wide
All pieces must be bisque fired previously.
Terry will provide glazes that he has. You are more than welcome to purchase raku glazes on your own.
Terry will also have horsehair, pheasant feathers, peacock, and sugar available.
If you have a medium you want to try please feel free to bring it.
There are many opinions on clay to be used. Mammoth has a raku clay that can be used. Raku clay is designed with a grog that is conducive to thermal shock. You may want to split a bag with someone or someone(s) since it is specific in nature. *Regular mid-range clay can be used as well.*
